Coronavirus business update – Badhoevedorp, 25 March 2020
The spread of the Corona virus confronts businesses with extraordinary challenges. Under these exceptional circumstances entirely beyond our control, we are also forced to take measures. By means of this generic letter, we wish to give you a heads up about our measures and latest operational update.
On the 20th of March we decided to close Corendon City Hotel and The College Hotel in Amsterdam until at least the 5th of April 2020.
Corendon Village Hotel is open to guests. We have a limited a la carte opened and a takeaway service for having breakfast, lunch or dinner at the room. Our airport shuttle is still operational between our hotel and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
Ibiza – Marble Stella Maris Ibiza
The opening of Marble Stella Maris Ibiza has been moved to the 1st of June.
Curacao – Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort
Since the government of Curaçao has closed its borders and cancelled all incoming flights, we cannot receive our guests on April 1st (the official opening date). The government of Curaçao has also taken additional measures to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus on the island. This means for our employees that we will follow the measures of the government of Curaçao. Our employees will work in smaller groups, with fewer people, so that a distance can be kept between workers and everyone remains safe. Naturally, this means that we will work with fewer employees on the construction site. The measures also mean that the opening of our hotel will take place later than planned. At present, the situation is unclear for everyone and new measures are being taken every day. This also makes it impossible for us to give a realistic date when we can open.
Curacao – Livingstone Jan Thiel Beach Resort
For now, Livingstone is open. Since the government of Curaçao has closed its borders and cancelled all incoming flights, we cannot receive new guests.
Bookings prior to today and are scheduled to arrive prior to June 1, 2020, may modify their reservation for future travel through December 31, 2020 without penalty by contacting your account manager or central sales at +31 208207843.
Please note that changes to an existing reservation will be subject to availability and any rate differences.
In case of cancellation we will follow our cancellation policy.
As we all experience, developments follow quickly and we are forced to adjust our operation on a daily basis. We will keep you updated about any changes in our operation. Please visit www.corendonhotels.com/business-update for latest information and updates.
We appreciate your support and understanding, as we recognize that it is crucial to meet the short-term challenges and support the long-term success of both companies.
