Skybar 747 in Badhoevedorp transformed into a new entertainment hotspot
New musical concept with Juni Juliet in the Corendon Village Hotel
The Skybar 747, located on the top floor of the Corendon Village hotel, has been given a total makeover. The new entertainment hotspot has been transformed into a piano bar and offers live music from Wednesday to Sunday, led by Juni Juliet. All this while enjoying exotic cocktails and tasteful dishes inspired by the menu of restaurant Mondi in Amsterdam. The doors of the Skybar 747 inspired by Mondi have been opened after the ‘soft opening’ for friends and relations of the hotel on September 8. The official opening will follow on September 29, 2022.
Visitors can enjoy an entertainment experience five nights a week from 6 p.m. with a great view over Amsterdam, Badhoevedorp and Haarlem. The musical program is composed by the world-famous entertainer Juni Juliet, supplemented by artists who perform jazz, soul, salsa and contemporary music. The menu is inspired by the Amsterdam hotspot: Mondi. Chef Justin Niessen shows his passion for the Caribbean in his dishes.
Mariska Nunes, Managing Director of Corendon Hotels & Resorts: “After the success of the Wednesday evening of June Juliet in restaurant Mondi in Amsterdam, the idea arose to create a nightlife hotspot for Badhoevedorp and the surrounding area. Why go out in Amsterdam when there is something in the region? a good alternative? In the Skybar 747 we take our guests on a night out filled with good live music, delicious Caribbean dishes and exotic cocktails.”
Interior Designer Martijn de Goede has translated the atmosphere of a New York piano bar into a ‘classy’ Skybar with tropical influences. Specific features such as a black and white pattern with azure blue wall tiles combined with coral pink details form the basis for a unique whole. Large exotic plants complete the atmosphere in the bar.
