Collaboration with colleges
We work together with various study programs and colleges to offer students the opportunity to do their internship or complete study with us. For our hotels in the Netherlands, Ibiza and Curaçao we have collaborations with the ROC in Amsterdam, the Rooi Pannen and the Higher Hotel School Stenden in Leeuwarden and The Hague. In addition, in collaboration with the Amsterdam ROC, we offer a two-and-a-half-year MBO course at our College Hotel in Amsterdam. During this period students work at our hotel and they learn how it is to work in a hotel and restaurant. In addition, they are also supported by the ROC.
Health & motivation
We are committed to ensuring that our employees go to work with pleasure. The more the employees enjoy going to work, the more positive the experience of our guests will be. How do we motivate our employees? We create an informal working atmosphere which allows them to give input more easily within their work. We help to keep our employees healthy, for example through a ‘stop smoking’ course or a discount on laser eye treatment. In addition, our staff at our hotels can enjoy sports, swim or use the wellness centers at a discount. Those who prefer not to work together with colleagues in the workplace can make use of a discount via an international sports card. We have our own sports and party committee that organizes group activities and parties. Every year we play sports for a good cause. For example, in 2017 we raised the highest company sponsor amount for the KiKa Run in Amsterdam, as much as € 23,240. This year we will be working during the City Swim in Amsterdam to help with the fight against ALS.
